The Evening Before Your Wedding

For months you’ve been planning your dream wedding, and now you’re less than 24 hours away from walking down the aisle and exchanging vows with your very own Prince Charming. But before you do, here are 5 things to keep in mind the evening before your wedding:

SHARE

Eat well and hydrate

To avoid last minute beauty emergencies like puffy eyes, bloating and blemishes, we suggest you steer clear of foods that contain gluten, processed ingredients, refined sugar and caffeine.

While you’d most likely want to calm those pre wedding nerves with a glass of wine or three, we strongly advise that you limit your alcohol consumption. Instead, drink lots of water for radiant, glowing skin – also, you won’t have to worry about waking up with a hangover!

Spend time with family and friends

Once you’re married, your priorities will shift. Spend quality time with your close family and friends the night before your big day and remember to thank them for always being by your side. This is the time to come together, celebrate love and look back on all the memories made.

Pack an emergency kit

While we all hope there won't be any last-minute emergencies on your special day, it's always better to be safe than sorry. It's vital to have those just-in-case items to make sure your dream wedding takes flight. Round up all your big day essentials the night before and hand it over to your maid of honour to keep it in a safe, but accessible spot.

Write a love note to your groom

We love the idea of exchanging love notes with your groom! Remember, there are no rules; your letter can be anything you want it to be, as long as it’s honest and from the heart. If writing isn’t really your thing, start off by expressing your love for your groom-to-be, share a personal joke or remind him of a special memory in your relationship.

Once you’re done writing your note, hand it over to your maid of honour who will then deliver it to your groom-to-be on the morning of the wedding.

Get a good night’s sleep

Your mind is buzzing with excitement, nerves, and just about everything you can possibly think of! But, a lack of sleep will cause puffy eyes and dull skin; something you do not want on your wedding day.

Take a bath, turn off your cellphone, practice some breathing exercises and have a cup of chamomile tea. Remember to relax and get in at least 8 hours of sleep; tomorrow is going to be one of the biggest days of your life!
