Ladies and gentlemen, the crown has been claimed! This year, our Top 12 finalists were treated to an entire weekend of spoils as they competed for the prestigious title of Bride of the Year 2018 at our annual gala event.
After an entire year of planning, we were elated to see the hard work of our team and service providers come together at the 18th annual Bride of the Year, which took place at Sandton's very own gem, The Maslow Hotel. In true SA Wedding's fashion, we teamed up with only the best wedding service providers to ensure that the event was world-class and that our finalists and guests were treated like absolute royalty.
Well, what can we say other than Saturday, 25 May 2019 was a night to remember. To give you a glimpse of what went down, we’d like to say a massive thank you to MSM who made sure we had the most incredible production, Salt & Pepper Creative for the most beautiful installations of decorative lighting, wooden structures and of course, the dance floor!
We also cannot get enough of the most incredible florals, put together by the talented Charlene, from Oopsie Daisy! These beautiful blooms also added a touch of elegance to our event stationery, which was courtesy of TeeLee Wedding & Event Stationery and stunning decor by Moi Decor.
Our drool-worthy cheese table was created by Maria from The Cheese Cake and our delicious candy station by a team of service providers; thank you Turquoise Squirrel, Sweet Joy and Angelique Celeste Macarons!
Ready to get the night started, guests were treated to "The champagne of the red carpet", Piper-Heidsieck, welcoming tunes by Jude Harpstar and our charming MC, JP Robberts.
Ready to impress our fabulous team of judges, our top 12 were ready to strut their stuff on the ramp in their glamorous wedding attire. This year’s judging panel consisted of:
Singer, actress and all round superstar, Bianca Le Grange
Getroud Met Rugby Actor, David Johnson
Singer and actress, Stephanie Baartman
Managing Director of Giltedge Ocean Islands, Lylie Moolman
While our judges deliberated, guests were entertained with music by Cameron Bruce and beautiful designs by Valencia Harrison, Eurosuit, Soapbox Kids and Michelangela Bridal Studio. How adorable are those little girls?!
