The Marine offers three different spaces to accommodate a wedding ceremony and/or wedding reception. These beautiful venues include The Pavilion, The Greens, The Sun Lounge and the hotel pool area. From a large reception of 120 guests to a small intimate ceremony - pick your ideal venue and leave the details to The Marine’s event coordinating team. The Pavilion
With an edgy black-and-white décor reminiscent of the roaring 1920s and extravagant views of Walker Bay, The Pavilion is a prime spot for a bespoke wedding reception. The fine-dining restaurant promises exquisite cuisine and top class wines. This space can accommodate a total of 120 guests with a marquee tent; 80 people cocktail-style; or 60 for banquets. It can be used for an intimate dining reception or (if you’re planning a good boogie) it accommodates 60 guests with a dance floor.
The Greens
The lawns, situated adjacent to The Sun Lounge, offer an expansive venue with breathtaking views and can accommodate up to 120 guests. Throughout your special day you will be able to watch the amazing marine life in Walker Bay while feeling the cool sea breeze filled with scents of local fynbos. This is a versatile space where you can choose to have your ceremony and smoothly transition to canapés and champagne in The Sun Lounge. It is also a fantastic child-friendly space for an outdoor seaside reception.
The Sun Lounge and Bar
Although this indoor space can be paired with The Greens it is also a space that can work without the added outside space! The room is flooded with natural light through the grand windows that overlook the lawns and bay. The Sun Lounge can accommodate 80 guests cocktail style and 32 guests for banquet style. This is a great space for an intimate winter wedding with a fireplace. It is elegant and ideal for either a reception or ceremony.
The Hotel Pool Area
Looking for somewhere smaller for a more intimate family wedding? Located in the hotel’s courtyard, this private space is perfect for an intimate ceremony of up to 30 guests and can accommodate 80 guests cocktail-style. This casual setting is also ideal for children to enjoy the pool while the adults can mingle.
